В процессе создания этой книги я перелопатил горы литературы. На моих полках собрано множество книг – от труда Ричарда Познера Sex and Reason, в котором произведен анализ эротического возбуждения, до «Женской психологии» Карен Хорни, от собрания биографий сексологов How I Got into Sex до биографии Макса Вульфа Валерио The Testosterone Files, где описано превращение из женщины в мужчину, и это не считая мириадов томов, посвященных сексуальному самообразованию, охватывающих как прагматические, так и духовные вопросы. В список литературы я включил несколько книг, имеющих самое непосредственное отношение к затронутым в книге темам, а также академические статьи, где приводятся данные исследований, о которых я писал (хотя они не идут ни в какое сравнение с тем, что я узнал из разговоров с учеными).
